Anyone into oddball British post war armour?

If so this may be of interest to you.
The company "Amusing Hobby" have brought out a 1/35 scale model of the FV4005 Series II.
This was an answer to the problem of a mobile anti-tank gun. Basically a Mk II Centurion hull with a bog box like turret that housed the 183mm (7.2") L4 gun. On trials one round blew a Centurion apart. The program was never developed as emphasis shifted to missile systems instead. The Series II exists as a gate guardian at Bovington showing how military think ran back then.
The kit should make an interesting addition to a collection of Post War British Armour.

Ah yes, I, among many others, refer to that tank as the Sh*t Barn because it was sort of sh*t and it had a barn for a turret

I didn't know there was a kit of the Death Star 183. I may have to get one

That's interesting - I've not played WoT for a while now (greyhounds and controller cables do not mix very well!!). Might have to get back into it.
The "Death Star" looks interesting too - might have to keep my eye open. FWIW - back in those days it would have been Deep Bronze Green all over as a prototype - had it entered service and the field it would have been overcoated with a matt IRR Green.

Useless bit of trivia- the Berlin Brigade cammo scheme had two functions. Firstly it blended in quite well in an urban environment. Secondly - and this is the reason squaddies HATED having to paint it - every vehicle in a class was painted exactly (and I mean exactly - within a couple of miilimetres) the same - the theory being the Soviet observers would be confused as to how many vehicles there were on station at any given time. Records revealed after the fall of the Soviet union and German Reunification indicate it actually worked quite well.
