RPG models MK-15 Phalanx 1/35

The Phalanx is a last resort defense system using a six barrel gattling gun or there is the rocket version, used mainly on ships to destroy aircraft and incoming missiles used by many western Navy's there is also land version available now. Nice kit to build and comes with loads of etch. Panted in grey undercoat with a naval grey top coat ,gun painted in black. given a wash of panel line to dirty her up a bit.

Pig Models 1/1 scale 8,8cm Pzgr. 39 (APCBC) L/56 - AKA the Tiger I tank shell!

Humbling build due to my ignorance with how metal color coats function and behave. Though, the end result turned out well, I'm quite pleased!

Primed in Ultimate Gloss Black, Tip is X-2 Gloss White, the stenciling is a mix of XF red and black. Over all casing is in AK Xtreme Metal Brass. (Storm Trooper helmet for scale)

Hope everyone is having a nice start to their weekend!

1/48 Trumpeter F-106A Delta Dart - finished. A present from that madman Sam - primed in Ultimate Grey, MRP/Tamiya Lacquer and AK Extreme Metals paints and gloss coated with Tamiya X-22 thinned with Tamiya Lacquer Thinner with Retarder and the rear black nose curve area with Testors Dullcote. Decals are a mix of aftermarket and kit due to a small noob type accident

Still plugging away on the Zvezda 1/144 scale Tu-160.
I had a minor incident with the wings where the Tamiya spray Gloss White reacted badly with the Humbrol Gloss White that looked so awful brushed on. I successfully managed to strip the old paint off completely using Fairy Power Spray and leaving to soak for 12 hours. Then washed the stripped wings off, re-primed and then re-painted the wings as can be seen in the photo. Fuselage halves were then joined and the front and rear modules fitted. Tail plane module is also complete now and ready for installation (just placed on in the photo) and now I am working on fitting the engine packs and intakes. Then the tail plane can be fitted permanently and the fuselage painted ready for the landing gear and bomb bay carousels to be fitted.

I've made slow progress on my Fujimi 1/24 Shelby Cobra. About 2 weeks ago I finished the body color - splash primer, Gaianotes Gloss White base coat, masking for the stripes, and the blue is Splash Ford Guardsman, all with a Splash 1K clear coat. Today I 'finished' stripping and re-chroming most of the chrome parts, this time in Mission Models: primer, gloss black and chrome.

Good evening happy modellers

This evening three photos of major surgery. This little Revell 1/144 Fokker 100 wanted to be an even smaller Fokker 70. That required major surgery, 8mm removed behind the wings and 17mm in front. You see here the pre and post operation photos and now the model is bandaged up while its wounds heal. More later.
