1:48 Type 91 Torpedo - Pearl Harbor

Post by UpNup »

Isn't it amazing how long it takes to scratchbuild something as simple-looking as a Type 91 IJN torpedo?

The front and body are from a window shade control rod. The rear tip is the cone from a mechanical pencil. I used 1/32” plywood to get the Pearl Harbor adaptation. The fins and dual props are from styrene sheets. This is to go on a Hasegawa Nakajima B5N2 level bomber “Kate," which didn't come with a torpedo. 1/48 scale
