Global Scale Modeller

Here's the reveal for my 1/72 Hasegawa Osprey that I started back in November and was the inspiration for me suggesting this SIG. The kit was ok, with a few alignment challenges, but the biggest problem I hit was the stencils in the after market set so the finished item is a hybrid of kit stencils with after market unit & national insignia. Although I got severely bogged down this side of Christmas for a variety of reasons ultimately I'm happy with how it turned out now I've got it completed

And now for a few up on its flying stand showing off it's variable pitch tilt-rotor which is nicely replicated in the kit

Great stuff. Love the colours and weathering. She’s a beauty alright.

Neil, your work is superb and I really like the subject matter as well.

I have this in both 1/72 and 1/48. I just hope I can build it to a level close to yours.

Thanks Paul - appreciate it mate I'm still not sure if the stencils was me being clumsy or the decals being difficult or a combo of both

Thanks Ben, really appreciate your comments - I was tempted by the 1/48 version but discretion (and lack of display space) overcame the temptation

That's an amazing build - you've made an aircraft I would normally describe as pig-ugly look very attractive. And I really love the way you did the base of the stand. Congratulations!!

Cheers Neil - yep it's definitely a little ungainly but there's a certain bonkersness about it that appeals
