Next on the bench

Next on the bench, a bit of a different model to what most of us typically gravitate to - 1993 Lindberg Tyrannosaurus Rex
My brother stumbled across these in a cheap general convenience store for about $10 each and gifted one to myself and two close mates. This was a few years back, a fair bit before I got into modelling.
A fair bit different to my go-to Tamiya car models, but this should be fun. Like most of us, I can't buy new models at the moment, so this is my only alternative. Luckily I'm staying with my in-laws during lockdown, so my Warhammer-mad father-in-law is going to be a great tutor for this one - painting a dinosaur is a bit different to a car!
First step is going to be reshaping the tops of the legs. The kit's got lovely detail around the head but I guess they weren't as accurate with hip sizes 30 years ago - check out that overlap!
