Hi guys! I'm Luke a 27 year old from South Wales. I love crafts and motor vehicles.

I used to glue airfix, brush paint unthinned enamel and lick and stick decals when I was a kid and grounded and loved every second of it!

I had a Tamiya 1/12 '98 R1 when I was 10 and a poster of the bike on my wall. Needless to say I made a mess of the kit.

Now I own an actual '98 R1, so I decided to try the kit again and I'm hooooked! Started watching Paul on YouTube and here I am!

I'm no stranger to arts, craft, making things and fiddly stuff, I've been a tattoo artist, painter, welder, fabricator, even a baker! I just love making things.

With lockdown upon us, I bought the Tamiya R1M (With blue stuff anniversary decals) and the Tamiya Castrol Tom's Supra, with some top studio bits to keep me occupied! May do a build thread for each, if that's okay!

Sorry to ramble, but, yeah, Hi!

Cool and welcome :thumb2:

You might want to spend some time watching Paul build a bike or car in his uTube tutorials
It will get you up to speed on materials and methods pretty quick

Thanks for the warm welcome, guys!

I've already used a few tactics I seen Paul use first, and some by Darlen Models on YouTube.

I've always wanted the R1, came from GSXRs and haven't looked back, it's my daily seen as I don't have a car licence, but looking at an '04 R6 for the run around!

Welcome! :welcome: I'd love to see your R1 from when you were a kid

I built the Castrol Tom's Supra recently as my second ever kit and had a blast. I'm a similar age to you so that's probably why we have similar tastes in vehicles. Looking to attempt a bike one of these days too.

Will be sure to keep an eye out!
