There really isn’t one since there is no competition involved. Just start a thread and get building. You can finish whenever.

Spectacular work
Really enjoying your thread, hope it is ok if we dork it up a bit with our pics and silliness :shifty:
It is cool to see how others handle the same kit

Watched a Japanese guy on youtube make the chain set. He is building a tricolor Panigale.
I am going to get that for my Martini version
He helped me with the exhaust staining a bit, but I am not going to do nine different colours on it :eeek:
I ground some steel with a angle grinder the other day and noticed the metal colour changes....blue, purple, black..and very very hot to the touch

:cheers2: for looking in and your comments Scott and not at all it brings some fun to all the builds involved with the BB.

If you get the Hobby Design set like mine I recommend on the chain parts that you run a drill through all the holes and any other holes that will take a rivet ect as there etched in holes and not all the same size. This will save you trying to force the sprocket rollers through the chain that can damage it or rollers pinging off to carpet gremlin land. Hobby design only provide 2/3 spares so be careful.

Yep its amazing the rainbow of colors steel goes through when heated. I have done it a few times where the exhaust is visible using Alclads but dont bother so much if it covered up with fairings t6hese days. :thumb2:

I am still waiting for the fork upgrade set to arrive which is now holding me up on the build but according to the tracker its arriving tomorrow now. So I have carried on doing what I can like adding the paint and decal detail to the inner side panels, prepped and painted the front brake servo. Prepped and made up all the outer body panels and then undercoated them with grey primer. Both wheels had there decals added and were then given the 2K treatment to finish them off. :thumb2:

:wall: :wall: I have never been a fan of decals on tyres and wheels as they always fell off for me in the past but since they have been clear coated over its cured that problem and I like you are quite pleased with them Scott. As for fast building I do not work any more being retired by the doctor so I have all day everyday to build stuff right now

  The fork set arrived mid afternoon but managed to get several coats of white and black down on the parts that were primed yesterday so tomorrow will involve lots of masking then the red fest can begin. With the fork upgrade set arriving I could start setting up the front end and also add the rear wheel and stand.
