Meng 1/35 T-72B1
First piece of armour i've finished in over 4 years, really enjoyed building it, superb kit and happy with the outcome, i'm a bit rusty with some of my techniques but they will come back over time, there's a couple of things I would change on this mainly the wash colour I choose for my mud splashes (Would use Ultimate earth rather than mud) other than that I know where I need to improve

* Meng 1/35 T-72B1 Built totally out the box
* Primed in Ultimate Black primer
* Base painted in Tamiya LP-48
* Add high and low lights with lighter and darker tones of the base colour
* Chipping done with Vallejo air silver and Vallejo German cam Black brown
* Pin washed with oils
* Various colour pigments used (stay tuned for those

)
* Mud made with plaster, pigment and two types of static grass

Love the mud and grass effects, wouldn't want to be an infantryman when one of those reac armour panels goes off.

Did I ever mention the guy in the UK who imported Soviet armour for resale and who bought a T-72 from the Czech Republic? And the one that got delivered was coated in these reactive blocks.??

He went out to the dealer he uses in the Czech republic and looked at a batch, picked the one he wanted that was the best of the batch and arranged for the firm to deliver it. Few days later he gets a message saying the one he bought had been damaged (???) and they were sending him a better one in token of him being a valued customer.. It was duly delivered rather late in the day as the light was facing and for the rest of the evening something bogged him about the look. Went in the next morning to find his two fitters had started work on it and were pounding on a part of it with hammers

- at which point realisation set in and he hooked them off PDQ. Had to get the local EOD unit in to remove all the blocks and take them away for a controlled detonation!

I should imagine those blocks would be pretty powerful as there job is to slow down projectiles yet not so powerful as to blow a hole in the tank.
