1/35 Tamiya Stug IV - Seen Better Days!

Built this the back end of last year and it has been on the "almost finished" bench. Each time I put it onto the mat to finish it, I sit staring at it for ages and then put it back without doing anything to it! So I'm taking that as the fates letting me know that it is finished.

For an old kit, it goes together really well. A bit lacking in detail and the figure isn't great compared to Tamiya's newer stuff, but for the money (about £14 from Hobby Craft), you can't go wrong.

I'm a big fan of heavily weathered models and whilst I'm understand the argument for realism, I would counter argue this with the "artistic license" card.

Which side of the fence do you fall on?



















Now I see one of things that aren't finished - the camo on the jacket!! Oh, well!!

Great work Alex, love the effect of the shell holes in the schurzen

As for the discussion over what's the right amount of weathering that's personal choice - you do whatever gives you the result you want

Superb Stug Alex, the weathering is very nice and is the damaged to the Schürzen is spot on
