Hasegawa Lamborghini Miura 1:24

Hey guys,

Just started on the Miura, I didn't want to embarrass myself with a bike so thought I'd have a crack at this as it will be my first build with an airbrush rather than rattle cans.



Got the interior painted, floor flocked & all put together, the kit comes with some metal stickers which is pretty sweet.



also made some new suspension using guitar string & craft wire, turned out pretty sweet

Got a bit more done today, drilled out the steering wheel which I think looks a lot better, finished up making the rest of the springs & got them painted. Installed the engine and all the running gear.
All that's left now is the body & wheels plus a few minor exterior parts.

I'm tossing up between Gravity Paints Petty blue with gold trim & rims or SMS Metallic Bronze with silver trim & rims decisions decisions decisions

Looking great, mate! I agree the holes in the steering wheel look much better. I saw a guy on YouTube cut the center out and remake it from a coke can to get it thinner and it looked great.

got a bit more done today but not as much as I was hoping to, damn kids
All the chrome parts were stripped using Easy Oven cleaner foam, stuff is amazing but is nasty Brad Pitt. Make sure you wear a respirator & gloves.
I much prefer spraying my own chrome rather than the chrome plating that it comes in the kit.


Got the body filled & sanded, my 3yr old son thought it'd be a cool idea when daddy wasn't looking to push down on the roof and snap it in half , managed to glue it together & then fill it and sand. Has come up pretty good.



Hoping to get everything primed tomorrow & ready for paint

Hey guys, first of all thank you for the kind comments, apologies for the time in between updates, been crook as a dog (not with the old rona virus) but managed to get a little bit done today.

Body primed with gravity paints light grey, first time using it & although it goes on thin its absolutely beautiful to AB with, even though I gave it a wet sand afterwards it really didn't need it as its so smooth!



primed the chrome sprues that I stripped back, they'll be sprayed with gloss black and then alclad chrome, the rims will be in an aluminum gold.



The body was sprayed with gravity paint petty blue, it looks stunning in person, photos don't do it justice, just need to spray the bottom skirts in aluminum gold.



hopefully knock the rest off tomorrow, cheers for lookin in

Hey blokes, time for another update

Body trim has been sprayed with gold leaf and the 2K clear coat using Gravity. Just need to add the panel lines, accessories & decals.


wheels also in gold leaf with the knock offs in alclad chrome.


the engine & exhaust done with the stacks and exhaust in alclad chrome.


into the home straight now & keen to get this done so I can plan the next build
