So I think I may have finally cracked the photo posting









Things I have learned from this first one.

Take more trouble to clean up the mould lines (I know you can still see some!)

Glue those sub-assemblies before spraying (eg the upper exhaust) or the glue shows.

I am pretty happy with the intake trumpets, but that was tricky!

I chickened out of trying the fuel lines that others have done. It just looked too fiddly for drilling the manifold. Fair play to those that have done it it looks great. Maybe next time.

I had trouble spraying the Tamiya TS7. It just went on too dry. I had three attempts. In the end I just had to rely on using wet and dry to finish, and then polished it off as best I could. No clear coat as you can tell, but I think it suits the car actually.

The decals were tricky but they as they dried they bedded on quite well. The roundel was difficult but I am fairly happy.

Decided to use No. 12 and Bucknum just for a change. He did run in the same race.

Thanks Guys. Looking forward to seeing yours Jesse. I have a soft spot for these 1960s F1 cars, it's a shame there are not more available.

Might try the Lotus 25 next.

same here, would be nice if they produced more varieties. The Lotus 25 is really nice. I really like the Lotus 79 and am tempted to buy it in the near future.
