Hi buddies.

I'm very happy to start a new post on As you could see in the title, I'm going to mount the m1 spiderman full detail. Small update of the progress of this M1. I am in the middle of an adjustment phase and at the same time, I study again and again, the Top studio detailed instructions ... I can assure you that there is quite a song. So, I'm going really quiet, just to forget nothing. But for the moment, nothing too complicated, I took care of the engine, I painted it and decorated with a little PE on the clutch bell. Thereafter, I have a lot of details to add before I can mount the engine on the frame.

Lovely start! Can't wait to see it progress, having just finished with the kit and detail set I can just say prepare for some swearing!

The instructions are pretty bad!

Also took care of the swingarm. After gluing, I had to remove the entire chain tensioner mechanism, plus the crutch support receptacle. The assembly will be replaced by PE. I used a Tamiya diamond cutter to do the job. It’s a tricky exercise, but if you go gentle, it’s a problem-free match.
I have a little question. being new on the forum, how do you put more than 3 photos in a post?

I have used photobucket and Flickr and never had a issue with the number of pic's per post. Actually never heard that ever being a problem.

I have used photobucket and Flickr and never had a issue with the number of pic's per post. Actually never heard that ever being a problem.

the problem comes from not being able to upload more than 3 photos. So we have to make a montage of several photos?

I guys,
I worked on the exhaust. There has been a lot of adjustment to make at the exhaust outlet. I turned the plastic part, drill a hole in the middle and I ended up passing a stroke of a paddle that I found at work to come and fix the outlet in PE. Once the adjustment was done, I painted it all. Thanks to reference photos, I could see that the entire exhaust had no heating color, except on the last part of the tube, before the cartridge. Good to tell you that I did not buy alclad paints for nothing, so this exhaust will undergo a very different heating. The end result is not what I wanted 100%, but I find that the result remains acceptable. I'll let you judge this.

Description of the painting phases:
- micro filler primer
-black shiny gravity (the TOP of the TOP)
- aluminum xtrem metal
-aquagloss
- Alclad blue violet sepia tint on the welds. - masking.
- re chrome on the tubing.
- heating on all the tubing.

here is the rest of the editing.
I took care of putting the carbon on the air intake, the card and the swingarm were painted with Tamiya LP1 and I was able to mount the engine in the frame.

I also did the assembly of the chain top studio. It was a first for me. it was really not easy.

I prepared all the pieces with white microfiller from AK, passing the Zero Paint shades, provided for this kit. Basically it's a blue mica and a red Ferrari. No difficulty in the application, if the procedure is well respected, thin layers and waiting 5 to 10 min between each layer. I first passed 5 diapers and came back to pass a 6th the next day. I work with an evolution, with nozzle of 0.4 and a pressure of 1bar. You will see in the following photos how I will proceed. So for single-color parts, no problem, they received their final colors, but for fairings and fork heads, the complexity lies in the fact of having two colors and two different types of patterns. So I start by painting blue on the pieces in two tones, to pose at first, the honeycomb pattern. In a second step, I will apply a coat of varnish to protect the first phase of installation of the decals and I will then hide on the delimitation created by the decals, passing a new layer of microfiller and I would finally apply my red.
I also passed translucent blue on all the honeycomb decals.

Hi all, After a few months of absence, I come back to finish this magnificent M1, which took a lot of time. I still notice a few imperfections, but I'm still happy with the result. I still have two or three odds and ends in terms of detail, but the beast is presentable to this day.
