1/48 Academy F-4 Phantom wheel bay's Aires set

I'll be building my second Academy F-4 Phantom in 1/48. As anybody who has built one knows the landing gear needs to be installed early in the build. Does the Aires resin replacement set fix this problem and allow the gear to be installed later? That would sure make life easier in the painting stages of the build.
