Hi guys, here is my finished Corvette C5-R from Revell.

Some shots of the interior:

Sadly the kit doesn't include locator pins like Tamiya kits, so the body had to be glued to the base (without spending time finding a way to lock it on). So here's the final look at both halves side by side

Happy with the result, especially to have got a good result on my first experience with yellow - beautiful but difficult colour to get right.

Any feedback or general comments more than welcome!

Very nice!

Any chance of using magnets to hold the body on? It's a shame to cover up all that detail work.

Thanks! I considered magnets or something of the sort but wanted to just get it finished as it had been a WIP for awhile. It was quite a tight fit inside so wouldve required a lot of magnets I would have though. Probably could have also fashioned my own locator pins too I guess - perhaps something for next time

Fantastic job mate, looks superb.

Did you use Revell paints, if not what type?

Cheers

Peter

Thanks Peter

Nope, stuck to trusty Tamiya paints. Main body is TS-16 yellow, TS-26 pure white and TS-14 gloss black, all sprayed from the can

You can find more details on the build in my build thread here
