Moebius 1/32 Colonial Viper Mk1
Paragrafix Photoetch
VoodooFX lighting kit

Big red letter day today - I finally managed to get the lighting circuits sorted, up and working!! Never done anything more electronic than connecting Det's to D10 cable and then the D10 to a Shrike. :) Also not touched a soldering iron in 40 years. So a massive buzz when I finally hooked the battery up and the lights came on :) Just got to sort out the final position of the cockpit LED and then the two front fuselage halves can finally be joined up and painted.

Finished the 1/20 Tamiya Leyton House F1, one of my all-time favorites !!
A few things didn't fit properly, and first time that I had to use filler and putty on a body.
Came out about to my skill level, and pretty happy with it.

Decanted Tamiya Coral Blue over Tamiya White Surface Primer, and Alclad Aqua Gloss clear.
Used a lot of Scale Motorsports CF decal in a few different scales/patterns

    Have a great weekend y'all

Hope you guys have a had a great week!

Been charging along with the Tamiya RC213V. Got the wheels and forks on so she finally stands on her own two feet. Was too excited to use my brand new Apex and painted the forks wrong, leaving the stanchions until last. So instead of masking, I found some sticky gold foil instead!

an afternoon with the airbrush and panzer putty on the Trumpeter 1/35 Type 89 (a total what-if scheme)... some damage to the supports for the add-on armour needs repairing plus a LOT of PE handles need to be put on then hand painted. Quite like the way the Panzer Putty worked, no lifting even though each coat only had about 20 minutes drying time

    Evenin' young Dan!

Another Panther for your collection tonight - this is Revell's 1/72 Panther G. Basic camo pattern was masked & sprayed with Vallejo model air, with any cock ups being resolved by brushwork. The ambush pattern dots were then applied by brush over three sessions, and decals were then added over the top. Not sure why they'd put down such a complex disruptive pattern and then slap dirty great red numbers on the side but there ya go. Just tracks & final details to pick out before a little weathering.
    Image

Rollover update - tis done! Tracks installed & painted, details picked out by brush and everything then finished off with some Abt. 502 oils and Tamiya black panel liner

Hello! So I have completed the engine bay for the Heller 1/24 Jaguar XJ220 I am building. I even was congratulated by Heller's Instagram account! The detail is pretty good but the instructions could be a little clearer.

    Good evening gentle modellers.

Tonight’s offering is a 1/72 model of the Bernard 20. It is made from the Adrien Roy finely detailed and moulded resin kit. The main colour is TS-10 French Bleu with a touch of light grey added. The main challenge with this project is doing justice to the beautiful kit.

Good Evening Dan, my first proper post so please be gentle, wanted to help keep this thread alive as I don't do Facebook.

Just about finished the body on my Tamiya 1/24 Mustang, interior still in progress. Painted in Ultimate primer, Ford Stealth Grey and Gravity (Spain) 2k. Such a lovely kit I thought it deserved an attempt at extra detail. Added carbon decal to bonnet louvres and front spoiler and had a go at retaining wires and clevises from fine brass tube and p/e offcuts. I cut away the plastic grill and replaced with p/e backed with a very fine stainless mesh in front of the radiator. Added wheel studs and some air valves as well.
Came out OK ish but only just started plastic modelling again after 40 years (thanks to Paul's videos) and still learning so much mainly from you Guys and the forum.

    Thanks Chaps, take care.

    1/12 Magnifier GT-40

Carrying on with the assembly The base chassis has been painted ,decaled and clear coated the then the engine added and now working on the suspension. Trump/mag in there wisdom decided not to add a disttributor so I scratch built one for the kit. Going together well with little fuss.

Hi everyone. This week I finished my 3D printed 1/400 Soviet Energia Buran.

Printed on a Creality LD-002R using Elegoo standard grey resin and painted using Vallejo Model Color paints.
My first attempt at DIY decals turned out well. They were printed on an HP Color LaserJet using Sunnyscopa Laser Waterslide decal paper.

Revell 1/25 70s Ford 'Baja' Bronco. There was more detail in this kit than I expected, and most of the trickier parts fit without much effort (most - front bumper is a little crooked). I was going to show it with the top on, because the color scheme [4 colors (!)] from the box art is pretty good, but that would hide all the details on the interior. The body paints are Tamiya TS, racing white, metallic blue, a mix of pure red and orange, and gaia notes flat black.

Next kit is a change of pace for me: a 1/48 F8F Bearcat.

Hello gents. This week I finished the Minicraft 1/144 KC-135R kit. I displayed it in a Trumpeter acrylic case. This kit was a real surprise - went together with the precision of a Tamiya kit and was a joy to build. Painted with a lightened mix of XF-53 and weathered using 502 neat oils.

    Hey Guys!

I'm still working on my Kinetic 1/48 Sea Harrier FA.2... It was my entry into Neil's Winter Hovering SIG, but due to lack of mojo and some issues with the kit this one have been shelfed a couple of times. I missed the SIG deadline by a country mile but now I'm back at it and this time I'm going to finish it! :thumb2:

I'm finished with the decals and technical stencils and it's on to weathering stage soon

The aircraft have been primed in Ultimate Black Primer and I have applied black-basing using Gunze H338 Light Gray as a marble-coat and Gunze H335 Medium Sea Gray as a blend-coat.

Still persevering with the Colonial Viper... All the major assemblies are ready to go together now so I am working on tidying up the wiring for the LED's. I need to shorten the lengths of wire between the circuit board and the LED's themselves so I can get it all into the rear Engine section Once this is done I can get the decals on, a silk coat over the top and then its a case of final assembly and job done.

Hi Dan, this week I finished my /24 Fujimi Ferrari F12 Berlinetta.

Really great kit with loads of detail in the box. Fantastic fit and a pleasure.

It took me a long time this one (the longest time I've ever spent building a car) due to all sorts of mishaps at the beginning. A snapped A piler, a dodgy batch of paint, a moth in the clear coat..... Blah blah blah ......
All that a side, I'm really pleased with it and glad I took my time to put it right.

I built it out the box bar some Hobby design Novitec wheels, brake and caliper set and some scale Motorsport 1/20 carbon decal film.

Ultimate primers, white for the body.
      Gravity Spain Ferrari Rosso Fuoco.
      Tamiya LP paints.
      Zero paints Ferrari interior Beige.
      Zero paints textured colours.
      Gravity Spain 2K.
      Micro mesh.
      Ultimate polishing system.
      Ultimate Decal solutions.
      Scale Motorsport 1/20 carbon.
      Hobby design Novitec wheels.
Hobby design low suspension and brake kit.
Ultimate Apex with both 0.2 and 0.35 needle set.

Have a great show everyone and hope you're all well 👍

      Howdy all!

After stepping away from aircraft modelling, I've finally got a kit painted. This is Trumpeter 1/48 RAF Spiteful. Primed in Ultimate Black, painted in X-2 White, XF-81 Dark Green 2 RAF, XF-55 Buff, XF-83 Medium Sea Gray RAF and X-2 Yellow.

Kit had some fit issues; but, I'm slowing gaining back the mojo.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
