Paint help please

Hi all.
I'm very new to modelling and painting. My father-in-law bought me a 1/32 Revell Spitfire for my birthday so I have just ordered a Sparmax airbrush and compressor because I want to make a nice job of it and any future models. What else do I need? Thinners, Primers, Paints, Laquers etc? Cleaning fluids.

This is an enormous topic and can be overwhelming.
My suggestion is while you wait, gorge yourself on YouTube videos to learn as much as you can
Take everything with a grain of salt as you need to find your own way that works for you

Here is a start with Paul’s...it is very early and he has moved on from this and evolved as you will see in his other vids

I'll echo what @Twokidsnosleep said and add that Paul's Aircraft Modelling Techniques series is an excellent step by step process. Andy's Hobby Headquarters is another good resource for general stuff too (though, he seems to be mostly armor.)

Thank you both for your responses. I have been watching a few of the vids by Andy and another YouTuber, OrcNerd. So it seems I will need to prime, then paint, then a finish. Then clean the airbrush. And possibly some kind of thinner depending on the paint.

The kit I have is manufactured by Revell so obviously lists their own colours required. However, I read/heard that this isn't great paint. I think I will go for a water based acrylic from Vallejo. I found a pdf that cross references Revell to Vallejo but some of the colours required aren't available. I guess I just have to find something that is close enough or just buy Revell colours.
