Moebius Models Battlestar Galactica (Rebooted series)

Post by RangerNeil »

This is the Moebius Battlestar Galactica from the rebooted TV series (Edward Olmos as Commander Adama). Quite a nice kit to builf - unlike the Original Series version -only draw back for me was I bought it as a sealed kit and when it arrived - it wasn't. Both the decal sheet and the solid and transparent rear engine panels were missing so I had to fabricate one. I was going to try a wash on it but after the way the Viper turned out I've lost confidence in doing this so its staying as it is for now.

Really cool build. I'm also amazed that it balances on the tiny looking base.

:) The Pegasus is half as big again - on the same size stand! Just a bit lower....
When - if ever - I get the TOS Galactica finished (its fighting me every single step of the way) I'll get a shot of all three together..

That's another great looking ship - really looking forward to seeing all three battlestars together :)

Got me wondering if anyone makes any more of the ships from the ragtag fleet...
      Cheers, Neil

Revell 1/72 Millennium Falcon - stalled due to stupidity
      Tamiya 1/35 Stegosaurus Stenops

      Many thanks sir.

Be warned the 3 ships are all to the same scale but the TOS Galactica is wildly out of scale to the other two :) Just waiting on the paint to be delivered - eModels say it was shipped yesterday via Royal Mail - and I can finish the TOS Galactic off.
As for other ships from the fleet - they do Colonial One - the Presidents transport to the same scale (1:4105) but thats it! Also the Mk II and Mk VII Vipers and Raptor as well as the original Cylon Raider in 1:32.

Maybe when the new series launches - estimated to be in 2022 now due to COVID - there will be more??
