I've been plugging away at my Industria Mechanika Sky Mark kit, a 1/35 scale sky buoy designed by cyberpunk artist Ian McQue for his world of anti-gravity vehicles. The kit is resin and PE, with lots of large PE parts, many of which require shaping and assembly. The kit also includes 2 flashing LEDs.

Thus far, I've assembled the core pieces to the deck, hollowed out the upper core and drilled holes for the wiring, and attached some of the PE parts. I haven't worked with PE before, and initially planned to glue the PE assemblies together, but this approach didn't work very well for me. I then decided to solder the PE assemblies together. Had to put my patience into high gear, but I persevered, and came up with a method that works for me, and now I feel reasonably comfortable working with PE. I scratch-built some railings to replace the kit railings that I just didn't like. The photo shows the tower fitted to the buoy core, and the railings roughly in place, and below, L to R, the upper light (LED) frame and vane assembly (the LED will fit into the frame, and the assembly fits on top of the tower), ladder, equipment box, lower light frame and lower vane assembly, which both fit to the bottom of the buoy core.

Completed the 1/32 Colonial Viper by Moebius for the Sci-fi build.

Overall finish is Tamiya AS-2, "IJN Grey" applied via spray can. Cockpit has the ParaGrafix Photoetch kit installed and the VoodooFX lighting kit, I tried using the Vallejo model wash to do the panel lines - first time I have ever done so - but I am not happy with the results. 2 coats of gloss coat were applied beforehand and it still stuck to the paint.

Evenin' young Dan (unless he's been locked out of the shed again)

I've added a mix of Masterbox & Miniart figures to my Meng 1/35 Flamethrower jeep.

Since I've had to mix & match heads & arms & poses there's some filling and tidying to be done before resorting to paint.

Good evening all, my 'Consider Reboxings A Priority' project continues with completion of number 2 this week.
This poor old Tamiya 1/24 Mitsubishi GTO has twice been stripped of its LP11 siver and 2k finish but finally I managed something I could live with. Straight out of the box apart from some stainless steel tail pipes, just a lovely kit at a great price.
Land Rover and GTO done, GT40 next.
Thanks for looking, have a great evening.

    Tamiya 1/35 Super Pershing.

Most of the assembly is now finished, the tank itself has been primed with Ultimate black undercoat then an over all coat of khaki base went on followed by a light spraying of kharki highlights, Now the tracks are on we can start the 'Mud Fest' on the hull. The barrel is a metal after market addition that sets the whole model off very nicely.

I'm getting a little help with putting together the 1/24 Lancia Delta HF Integrale Group A rally car from Italeri.
I also built these two Tamiya mechanics this week, one for my Subaru and the other Peugeot. I need to add a little weathering and texture to them I think. The Tamiya is a brilliant set and really recommended for anyone to build a race car diorama - five figures and a range of tools.

    Cheers!

Happy Friday! Hope it's been a good week!

Been working on the MP4/4 again. Got the engine started. There so much detail. I had to build the throttle linkage which consisted of 15 parts, each no bigger than 3mm. Fun fun!

Here's a test fit of how it is so far! Thanks for looking and have a great weekend!
