Having just watched the TV series Vikings, I am impressed with this build - very nice work on an unusual subject :thumb1:

Very nice paint effects on the hull....that wood looks very convincing indeed...well done. :thumb2:

The absence of slaves on the oars reminded me of an old joke...

The taskmaster said "Slaves...I have good new and I have bad news"

the slaves said "Tell us the good news first"

Taskmaster said "We have decided to give you the morning off to preserve your energy"

Many cheers later and then the leading slave...said, "Well...what is the bad news?"

To which the Taskmaster replied..."Sorry lads...this afternoon the boss wants to try water skiing"

Brian ;)

Awesome work on the wood effect there, can't be easy to get that effect. I think what you did was probably one of the best ways, using oils to get the subtle shades and tones right.

Good work!

Wow, wow, WOW!!! :jd:

As a Scandinavian I'm always pleased to see a Viking ship, and I really like the wood effect and paint work! Exceptionally good, in my humble opinion!: : : : :cheers2:
