Evenin' young Dan

Not a lot of progress recently but I've managed to start weathering up the Meng 1/35 Flamethrower Jeep.

Initial weathering on the jeepy bits with abt. 502 oils & pigments. The flamethrower tanks & pipes have been installed and will be weathered up next

This week I finished this AFV Club 1/35 Valentine MkIII plus Rotatrailer, as used in Tunisia 1943. The kit didn't go together as easily as I would have liked, but does have plenty of fine detail which is nice. I painted this in Tamiya Khaki Drab, which was close enough to the light mud colour that was sometimes used in Tunisia, then weathered it using Mig Ammo washes and pigments.

Returning to earth this week - Zvezda's new T34-76 is in progress. Lower hull complete and awaiting road wheels, drivers and idlers. AK #609 "Russian 4BO" overall, Vallejo #70865 "Oiled Steel" and Ultimate Rust wash on the springs
At the moment I'm struggling with getting the tracks together using the formers supplied in the kit - never seen this system before....

    Howdy all!

Work on the Italeri F7F-3 Tigercat continues. The latest woe is a gap between the engine cowl and the wing root. The kit has been nothing but trouble. Can't say that I recommend it, however, there are very few examples of the Tigercat on the market.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Good evening All. This week I have mostly been using the excellent Ultimate Modelling Products decal solutions on this 1/24 Tamiya Mercedes CLK GTR. Quite a complicated scheme to do as many of the decals need to line up with each other but after 4 days they were all down. As expected the Ultimate solutions worked flawlessly on the 20yr old decals despite my best efforts to spoil them. Paint beneath is Ultimate grey primer followed by Zero Paints Mach Blue. Just have to decide on which clear coat to use now.
Thanks for looking, have a great evening.

    Evening, chaps!
So having built an array of Italeri, Heller and ancient Revell models, I thought I deserve a treat so I cracked open a 1999 vintage Tamiya kit. It's going together very nicely. The blue is the same Craig and Rose blue metallic as I did my Subarus. The rest is either Revell or Tamiya acrylics.
    Have a great weekend!

Oh I remember this project. Good to see you dragged this one back to the bench. I do hope you mean you are battling the conditions surrounding the combating of this virus and don't actually have covid 19 ??
    Hoping your healthy.
