Question: What is this on the Panther?

Does anyone know what this is hanging from the rear driver's side sponson?

The tubular part is a convoy light. They're shiny dark gray when unlit.

Oh, so it is a marking light for road marches. I thought I'd read somewhere that Panthers didn't have rear lights. Guess I was wrong, thanks BigWall!

I honestly don't know if Panthers had them or not. I'm just judging off of appearance that this is what's being modeled there.

No, you were right BigWall. Once I started searching using the right terms I came up with better results. For example, they apparently moved the convoy light on later production models as evidenced by this one on the Littlefield Panther post restoration:
