Panzer 35(t) from CMK. I bought the Munitionschleper kit as it was cheaper than the standard 35(t) but comes with the turret parts and 5 fuel cans and fuel can rack. Don't think I will use the oil can rack but will mount the fuel cans on the rear (contemporary photos show this and Tamiya kit has them too) plus some extra stowage. Some research shows a "support" on the RH fender on a tank so will do that.

Good, this czech tank isn't a star but WW2 German forces used it till it was obsolete. Have fun building it!

more progress... bogies and upper hull (including fenders)m front & back wheels are all removable. Wheels are done but can be slotted in later (got this tip off a full youtube build (actually what inspired me to get this kit)). Next up will be link & length track at the weekend.

As I lose all modelling space from the 28th (christmas decorations and moving the furniture around) the plan is to get the main build done now then do the additional stowage etc in the New Year....

Got any tips for installing the PE belt buckle straps for the jerry cans. A very nice set of those. Where they aftermarket or supplied with the kit ?

thanks all... fit is ok - all the running gear fits nice and firm to allow the tracks to be built without the running gear being glued on (will aid painting).

the jerry cans are specific resin ones that come with this kit (there are a number of reboxings of the base kit that have various additional extras - a figure here, jerry cans there) - and yes they look very nice (might get some more from Tamiya to really go to town on them - the Tamiya tank kit has 10 in total (5 on the rear, 2 under the jack block(?) and then 3 on the slope rear engine deck (I might just do the last 2 and then put stowage on the rear with a nice wooden rack - and a wooden rack on the side).

I may not use the original can holder (will use it to practice with my new soldering iron), will have to see, but the straps I would assume would be - attach at rear, feed through handles of jerry cans, attach at front (thats what I have done for other vehicles with similar tracks

I heard there is a soldering paste that doesn't even need a soldering iron. Just a hair dryer do the trick....I do need to investigate this more.

interesting... I am getting solder paste which should means little brush on each part then heat... less mess (I hope). Never soldered before but have been watching youtube

The tracks look very thin, did you have any problem to built them? And the storage is pretty good for Russia.

link and length so went together quite well... only real problem was aligning the main wheels both of which have sprockets that go in to the tracks - but a nice satisfying "click" when it slots home

They have some nice detail too. Must be some tool boxes to do yet as well the fenders just look a bit bare so far. It's coming together so well.

Looking good mate, it is a nice little kit with the detail it has. I have one half built myself, I was using a PE set to go with it but got frustrated with it as usual.
I didn't know the munitions carrier came with a turret as well, might have to look for another one.

I'm sure you'll do it justice

They have some nice detail too. Must be some tool boxes to do yet as well the fenders just look a bit bare so far. It's coming together so well.

fenders are pretty bare actually BUT there are period photos of extras added so will do something I am sure... the tools go more on the vertical sides rather than on the fender

Figures look huge next to the tank. Really it is how small those tanks are. Nice stowage once painted and given a wash. Needs a bucket.

I know, it really does show how cramped they must've been... I am looking for a bucket - have one but it is on a StuG (mind that is in the attic so I may liberate it), some around are PE you have to make yourself - if my soldering was any good I would risk it... will continue to look

glossed up ready for decals (3 crosses, 3 turret numbers - not authentic numbers BUT authentic that they had small numbers). Also started on the wooden stowage (and cabbages - need to had some shadow to them I guess - first time painting veg)....

Decals on... turret numbers may not be accurate but their are photos with vehicles with small numbers on, stolen from a 251 kit....

Fruit and veg doesn't look too fresh in close up...

Nice addition to the the tank though. Did you high light the rivets cause it looks that way and it's come up a treat.

the rivets haven't been highlighted = probably the gloss reflecting light...

scratches done (probably overdone knowing me), wheels & tracks on (not the best)... next up panel lines then some oils...... getting close to being done

some oil dot fading - not 100% happy though. Need to work out what to do with the lower half. Need to look at the stowage - I hate just putting it on so need to get some rope for it. I will probably get this to a point then look at getting some soil when the weather picks up and fixer
