Howdy folks!

I finally finished the my Italeri 1/48 F7F-3 Tigercat! The kit itself is antiquated, which will give you issues. Overall primed in Ultimate Black, painted primarily in MMP USN Dark Sea Blue with odds and ends in the Tamiya acrylic range, overall top coat is Model Masters Satin Semi-Gloss. Light weathering was accomplished with Vallejo pigments.

Difficult build; however, it's the only 1/48 Tigercat kit on the market.

Evenin' young Dan,

Work has progressed this week on the 1/35 Bronco Comet for the late war GB.

First job was to fix the top of the cupola which I realized I'd attached 90degrees anti-clockwise from where it should have been (moment of sheer genius). So that was cut off & reattached and then the somewhat casual commander figure was test fitted.

It's had initial weathering with abt. 502 oils, and stowage planned out with the aid of blu-tack.

Hello there,
Last week I finished the newly re-released Lotus Super 7 series II in 1/24 from Tamiya. Primed with Tamiya white primer and painted with Team Lotus inspired Tamiya TS 43 Racing green and TS 34 Camel yellow. I used the kit decals as well as the sticker seat belts and photo etch buckles included. Sponsor decals from the alternate Heller Alpine A110 livery as well as my custom printed decals to make a clubman racer. Minilite wheels are taken from a Fujimi old Mini Cooper. I'm pretty pleased with how it has turned out.
Have a good weekend and a merry Christmas!

Here is my 1910 Thomas Flyer Model M6 40

Manufacturer: Bandai
Mold/Tool Date: 1973
Scale: 1/16
Paints: Krylon, Model MAster, Tamiya

All told, I would say the kit quality if typical for those molded in the late 60's or early 70's. Be prepared to spend a considerable amount of time cleaning up the flash, seams, fit, and repainting the fake gold (brass) plate. With the mold quality, limited detail in the instructions, as well as the written instruction and paint code all in Japanese, I would recommend this series of vintage kits to experienced modelers. Here is my 1910 Thomas Flyer Model M6 40:

Calling this one done before I break any more parts off. This is the Meng 1/35 Smerch. Really a great kit with full interiors, engine, etc., but I'm at the point I've seen enough of it of it and ready to move on with some other projects. Painted with Tamiya acrylics, and weathered mainly using oil paints, and MIG pigments.

Thanks for taking a look and Happy Friday.

Good Evening All

Finished my ICM 1/24 1911 Model T this week. Something different which made a refreshing change. Went together quite nicely, surface detail is pretty good although some of the mounting points are a little vague but it does feature a rather spectacular horn!
Ultimate primer and Tamiya LPs other than Mr Metal Color Brass and the main body colour that was a 50/50 mix of Zero Racing Green and Mach Blue which matches the box art quite well. Clear coat was LP9.

Thanks for looking, have a great evening and a safe Christmas.

Good evening jolly modellers

Almost completed, with only a few stencil decals to go, is the 1/72 Planet Models resin Grumman XF10F-1. Not as elegant as aur0ra145's F7F-3 above, which goes to show that not even Grumman got it right every time. My Dark Sea Blue is the SMS version and the leading edges are Tamiya TS-83 over a black base.

Hello everyone!
Now that the Fujimi GSR BMW Z4 GT3 is done, started the Mercedes version...

W-I-P of the Fujimi 1/24 Goodsmile Racing Mercedes SLS AMG GT3
Have a start on the decals... but want to finish it up before posting pics - here's a little bit older pic, just before the decal-a-thon started.

Merry Christmas y'all !! :cheers2:
