Your Favourite Build of 2020

Since 2020 has been quite the year I thought it might be good to take a look back and chose our favourite builds from this year.
There's no competition here, it's just for fun but in terms of "rules" just choose one of your own builds that you've finished this year (even if it was started earlier), post one photo of the finished result and a brief description of why it's your favourite (e.g. best finish, great kit, challenges overcome, super-detailing etc).
Looking forward to seeing the gallery evolve

So here's mine to kick things off... Having looked through my builds for the year I saw that I had a slow start, picked up in the middle and then tailed off towards the end again. There were a couple of builds I was really happy with but in the end I opted for Meng's 1/35 Wasp Flamethrower Jeep.
It was a quirky subject which appealed to me from the first time I saw it reviewed in a magazine, the kit went together really nicely with no real dramas and when I found the figures I wanted the dio just came together as well.
There are more photos in the reveal thread

My favorite build of 2020 was actually started in late 2019, but finished mid-January of 2020. It's my favorite because it's the best weathering job I've done on a model to date, and it's also one of my favorite subject categories: vintage Chevy pickups.

Great idea for a thread. I have had quite a productive year, six completed builds if I've counted correctly, but the one that stands out for me would be the Revell Ford GT, it was just a really enjoyable kit to build, and although the paint job was time consuming, it came out exactly as I wanted it to, there is usually a minor error here or there on a build that nags away at me, but this one came out to the best of my ability:

Very nice idea for a thread, Tomcat!
My favorite build for this 'strange' year, funny enough, is my latest build. The Fujimi 1/24 Goodsmile Racing BMW Z4 GT3.
While I have built 7 kits (and close to finishing #8 !!

) this BMW was far and away one of the biggest challenges, for me anyway. Reason being was the overwhelming number of decals that are on this kit, with easily 200+ decals it was a challenge I have never been faced with before. The kit decals were so thick as well, that I learned the hair dryer technique (never had to do before) and also broke down and ordered Ultimate's decal solution set. The result is very pleasing for me and my skill level. Of course, there are numerous "uh-oh's" and imperfections all about the kit due to my many shortcomings - but overall this is one that I think came out better than my skill level (really struggling with my current kit, another Fujimi GSR model...).
While I have several other models that I actually like more that were done this year (the Tamiya Pramac Ducati MotoGP bike and the unicorn that is the Tamiya Leyton House F1, for sure) this one gave me some real satisfaction seeing it over the finish line and up on the model shelf. It was also the first kit that I did an actual clear coat that came out pretty darn nice (and I didn't FUBAR the "glass" somewhere - normally have to hide that in the pics

).
Looking forward to seeing everyone's "Special 2020 Kit"

These are absolutely amazing builds everyone!
It looks like I'll only finish two builds this year, which is fine, I do this for fun so I'm not in a rush to get on to the next build. My favorite of the two is the Brummbar. It's my third build since returning to the hobby and I think it's the best work I've done. I always try something new on a build and on this one it was brush chipping and scratching, harmonizing the camoflage and a different style of weathering with oil paints. I'm still not very good with powdered pigments and there are other mistakes and mess ups but I learned a lot with this one.

This is a hard one for me. I spent 2019 on a very long business trip where I couldn't build anything. So, the first tank was fun to get back into it. The space builds were fun, so I will submit two that made me happy about the hobby.
The tank that I got for $16 with no aftermaket
and the sci fi that I loved!

Difficult to choose just one, but I'm going with the Tamiya F16C, just because of that awesome Aggressor scheme.

It's got to be the Valentine MkIII for me. I didn't enjoy building it at first, but I love the way it turned out after weathering.
