Trumpeter 1/48 F-100C Super Sabre

I've been work on this for some months now, like many Covid has had me working harder than normal, spending a lot a time on line. This has sucked the enthusiasm for doing a build log, instead I just took a few pictures of the build and revel, hope you like them.

The F-100 is one of my all time favourite aircraft. I can distantly remember seeing TV news coverage in the late 60's- early 70's of the F-100 in cammo livery as such I opted for that version. This is my first Trumpeter kit of any kind, this is a mid way (09) kit during their 98 - to date history. It's an okay kit but they're areas engineering wise that are below par in my opinion and all parts must or I would certainly recommend are dry fitted and I mean every assembly. Pins, holes, flaps light fittings most don't fit and will require work to make them fit, if you do as I did any pre-painting of these areas/parts will be wasted. If you look both underside lights sitting between the airbrake and front undercarriage bay fell in when trying to fit the. Had I checked the fitting first I would have fitted them before joining the fuselage.

All that said it's still a good kit.

Thanks Scott, yer I can't wait to see the back of this bloody virus I'm on Hols as of today not that going to change much in that I can't visit family etc but at least I won't be on some Skype, Teams or Zoom meeting My biggest problem now is what do I build next I've run out of display cabinet room for aircraft and that's another issue I've got solove I'm leaning towards a bike or car
