Product to seal in & protect old decals on models?

Post by RobRomero »

I rinse my models in warm/hot water but over time have found that the decals start to rip or come off. Is there a good product that can be brushed on (don’t have an airbrush) to help seal in and protect the decals?

“Thanks in advance for your consideration!”

There are several brands of clears in jars (Tamiya, etc) or there's always the Tamiya clears in rattle cans.

If you are using a water based clear finish originally with the warm water washes you could be actually removing it and exposing the decal. Future ain't that good a product.

AK Ultra Matt can be brushed on. Once cured, a water wipe wont touch it.
Its been tried and tested, it works! So don't blame the system if you're no good.
