Been out modelling since Nov. - working 10.5 hr shifts is a killer. However contract ends on Sat and I used up accrued holiday hours this w/e to get back in the flow. I'm building the Zvezda T34-76 and invested in the Friul metal links as the hard plastic ones in the kit didn't look right. So the time was spent cleaning up the individual links and drilling out the 0.4mm dia holes for the pins. Doesn't sound much but it took a fair while. Next job to to get a bottle of Ultimates Burnishing liquid and treat the links before assembling the track lengths.

This week I finished up AK Interactive's 90mm Halsten Wolfnose figure.

As mentioned previously it's been painted up using Ultimate Primer, and then paints and washes from Vallejo, Scale75, Andrea & Games Workshop.

The base is made up from the resin included in the kit, bulked out with some slate and added to a GW oval base. The snow is from Tamiya.

Good evening everyone and thank you to all those who voted for my Mandalorian diorama last week, it meant a lot.

This week I started my next project, the 1/35 Preposterous Squid-Shaped Submersible by Industria Mechanika, which is only available as a 3D printable download (a first for them).

So far everything’s printing out great and I can't wait to get started building and painting it.

Ayrton Senna's F1 World Championship winning McLaren Honda Mp4/4 (1/20 Tamiya) is now finished.

Body in TS 26 Pure white and TS 36 fluorescent red, Perfect Parts photo etch set, Tamiya 1/20 driver figure, Tamiya 1/20 adhesive seat belts, decals by MSM creations, other scratch built details by myself.
Bodywork clear coated in Mr Super Clear UV cut and olished using Ultimate polishing system.

This has taken over a month and whilst I know there are things I would do differently and some parts I am not happy with, I still think this is possibly my best work.

My just finished Tamiya 1/24 Mazda MX-5, with a few pieces from a Hobby Design detail kit.

The paint is Tamiya Ts-95 pure metallic red, decanted and thinned with Gaia Notes fast drying thinner and a top coat of Gaia Notes ex-Clear heavily thinned with their retarder thinner. Lightly polished with Tamiya polish.

The seat belts that came with the kit and the 'upgrade' belts in the detail kit were both poor so I left those off. I'm very happy with the paint job. Because I'm hesitant to try a 2 part clear, I've been hunting for the best standard lacquer clear I can find - so far, for me, thats Gaia Notes. Maybe when Tamiya LP bottles are easily available in the USA I'll change to that.

1/32 Tamiya P-51D. Dug this one out and stuck the wings and tailplane on. Doesn't look much but I did spend 3 days looking for a bit that went ping - I did eventually find it though

I have taken a break from aircraft and just finished the RFM 1/35 M1A1. It went together well, but instructions were terrible. I used a Legend Productions resin stowage set.
