Hmm
I did like soapy water bath first and then always wipe with IPa (isopropyl) before I paint them up (anything up for that matter)
Keep them damp or have a damp kitchen towel underneath them when sanding etc to stop breathing in the dust

Little update.

Working with cockpit.







First get resin seat ready for primer. I was happy that point. PE is also top notch. Bend really easy.
Then i started work with plastic, and my joy lost like fart in the wind. Its soft. Way too soft. Now i know why Heller is cr*p

Now i need to wait my paint shipment.

Need advise here.

My paint delivery hasn't arive yet. So i started working on exhaust nozzle. Have real problem.
I can not make the etching parts stick to any plastic. I tried several glues like VMS flexy 5K pe glue, Loctite perfect pen, Hypo glue with no succes. They fall for plastic in some point, if i touch the part. So any advise?

Strange that it's falling off so easily. I would recommend gently scratching up the sticking surfaces with a file or sander to give the glue something to grab onto.

Yup. Never happen before. When the part falls off. Plastic is clean, like plastic refuse the glue.
Maybe brushing plastic extra thin help, and sanding pe parts. Try that next.

As well as scuffing up the surfaces you could also try using a little PVA (white/wood) glue and see if that'll hold the parts too.

Totally forget PVA I have Mig's ultra, and microscale glues. Will use PVA in very small parts. Thanks m8

Lost one seatbelt somewhere. Hunted that about two hours, but not found





Added Ammo's middle east dust pigment to the floor













Now the most nerve-wracking phase is over, and I survived it for the first time well, even though I lost one part.

I allready done that, and it seems help a little. The plastic is so soft, like a bucket plastic. Never seen this type of plastic in kits before.

I need to be extra careful when touch pe parts. So that means no weathering in exhaust nozzle.

I found it in today. Allready glued yesterday rear canopy part in fuselage. I think i still can put the seatbelt part in where it belong.

Hello my modelling friends.

I have a sad news in build, and my modelling hobby also.


i got a brain stroke about six weeks ago, and got out of the hospital last week. Naturally, most of my time has gone into rehabilitation. Permanent damage is not yet known, but at the moment the right hand and foot are not working as before.

So because of this, this model is not completed, and anyway, the whole hobby may end

However, I will try to visit here when my time and well-being allow it.

i got a brain stroke about six weeks ago, and got out of the hospital last week. Naturally, most of my time has gone into rehabilitation. Permanent damage is not yet known, but at the moment the right hand and foot are not working as before.

So because of this, this model is not completed, and anyway, the whole hobby may end

However, I will try to visit here when my time and well-being allow it.

Shiit that's bloody awful and horrible. How old are you ?
I'v seen people who have had strokes and over time they do get better. Not fixed , but a huge improvement. I can only encourage you not to stop modeling it helps brain to eye co-ordination and control. Actually you being a modeler is a big step towards your own rehab. The models might not be as good as before, but like before they will get better as will you I believe.

Digger has it perfectly. Never give up - adapt and overcome. Keep the models simple at first then progress as your use of the right hand improves. Talk to your physiotherapist and see if they can help you "grow" the use of your left hand to compensate in the mean time. I am certain you will be back building in time.

I found a quote while having my own physical struggle earlier this year. It really helped me a lot. Hopefully you will find some inspiration in it as well.
