Building a Honda Blackbird at the moment have painted bodypanels but they look terrible ! Can / how do I remove the paint so I don't start again ? Oh the paint is Vallejo Air

If you've got decent sanders I would sand the paint then reprime and start again.

I think you mean so I can start again? If so, personally I'd strip them using some isopropanol. You don't need a lot just paint a wet coat on using a brush, wait a few seconds and with the same brush start agitating the surface. Just keep at it until the paint is removed.

You may need to add slightly more isol as you go, but don't go mad or push too hard, or you could well damage the surface of the panel. Once clear of paint, rise in water, your ready to reprime

Done the above a good few times in the past, had no issues whatsoever, just take your time. It's also possible, depending on what primer you've used to just remove the colour. But on something like bike firing panels or tank you want a high quality finish, so I'd remove the primer.

I’ve just stripped the bonnet on the Lotus Super Seven I’m building.

When I put down the clear coat, it reacted with the base coat and cracked.

I soaked the bonnet overnight in Methylated Spirit and used a toothbrush to take it back to bare plastic. Then washed it in soapy water and rinsed with cold water.

You would never know it had been painted.
