For those with an interested in Soviet armour Zvezda are launching a new BRDM-2 kit and Armata Models in Moscow, Russia have put together quite a nice package - if you don't mind working through the order screens (I use Google Chrome set to auto translate) its worth it. Ordered mine today! :) :)

My only experience with google chrome was a nasty one. It reordered all my bookmarks and I couldn't find a damn thing. I went back to Firefox.
I do like the Russian gear though...not so keen on a lot of their model companies though.
:th: :th: :cheers2:

I "think" there is a translator plug-in for FireFox now Digger. Oddly I had a kind of reverse experience. When trying to upload images to Postimg or Flikr etc via Firefox it would not post the image. I could select images and click on upload and then nothing happened.... I tend to use FireFox for most things not involving image handling or translation as Chrome doesn't need a plug-in and my system is so old (I built it in 2007) that some of the FireFox plugins cause system crashes. Win-10 doesn't help matters much either I guess. :)

As far as the companies go - Zvezda are pretty good - their own kits normally are not far short of Tamiya quality - the T-34 went together beautifully. The ZSU-23/4 considerably less so but I think you said you thought it might be a re-box of the Dragon offering? Their helicopters certainly fall together with minimal effort. AModel on the other hand try the patience of a saint.......
I use Armata models in Moscow a fair bit as they are often cheaper than UK firms even with the postage - and UK Borderfarce NEVER touch anything coming from the Russian Federation... Oh gawd - I hope I haven't jinxed that now....
And - for me - they have stuff its hard to get anywhere else like the Akan paint range, lots of oddball Russian kit throughout the era's plus these one-off offers. Unusually for the Eastern Bloc they have grasped customer service as defined in the West. Having waited over a year for a company to send me a set of 4 doors for a UAZ-469 only to get the wrong ones I was leery the first time I ordered - but needlessly. You place the order and as soon as its ready for shipment they send you an invoice. (in Russian - hello Google Translate) You click on the link to pay via card and 7 to 14 days later depending on what the latest pandemic is a nice well packaged parcel arrives on your doorstep. Contrast that to if I get stuff from the USA - I guarantee that as soon as the tracking number shows i in the UK 2 days later I will get a letter from UK Borderfarce telling me I owe X amount of ££'s in VAT and Y amount of ££'s for handling and if I don't pay the total within- I think - 14 days the package will be returned to sender. Having paid it on-line it then takes anything up to 21 days for the package to actually arrive on my doorstep.
