Revell 1/24 Jaguar E Type

Post by WordenB »

Previously I have only posted my efforts in my portfolio but hope its OK to put it here with a Topic heading as well.

Pretty good kit this one although clear and chrome sprues in my box were not the best. Apart from the wheels I stripped and repainted all chrome with Alclad 2 and made a new rear window which I hope improves things a little. I did add a proper mesh grill and plug leads but other than that it's pretty much out of the box.

Bodywork is a mix of Tamiya LP 61 metallic grey and Mr Color Super fine silver finished with GX100 clear. Interior is Zero Ferrari leather Bordeaux.

One of my favorite classics.

Nice clean work on the kit, and my favorite colors as well.

Your added details make your wonderful build even wonderfuller   :thumb1:

Thanks for sharing it.

Thank you all very much for your kind comments. I agree about the lovely Bordeaux colour for the leather, I tried to mix a colour from paints I already had but ended up with brick red each time.

Lovely model of this motoring icon.
I think that the wheels and tyres look too wide for an early EType.
Revell's fault, not the modeller who has done an excellent build of this kit.
Nice colour scheme used that accentuates the lines well.
