Hello from Australia

Hi all. Just saying hello. Getting back into modelling at 50. Last one I made was when I was about 17. I like building any model that interests me, and have restarted my hobby by warming up with a 1/32 Revell spitfire. Its not bad, but there's a lot of room for improvement. I hope to get better and have been reading a lot of forums like this one for the wealth of experience you guys have. Will post some works as they happen. Ciao, Corey.

Thanks all. Im in Sydney Digger. Born in NE Vic. Lived all over. Perth for a while. WA is a great state.
Im a photographer, but you wouldnt think so by looking at those photos. My next build I'll do a proper job with the pics . . .
Have a 1/48 Learjet on the way, so will start a wip post when that starts.

Nice to meet you all. Love this internet thing. When I was a kid, my dad was into cb radios, and I was amazed that he was talking to a guy in romania, who ended up sending him some romanian flags and stickers that i used to always look at. Its great how we can all connect now so easily. I hope to learn a lot from everyone. There are so many awesome modellers.

Welcome to the board and back to the hobby! I followed a similar course as you and was away from the hobby for about 20 years and came back when I was 50.

Hello and

to the ISM forum Corey.
When you get a moment please check out the forum guidelines which can be found --->
here
We'd love to see your work & progress but in order to post photos you will need to host them on an external site such as Flickr and then link to them from the forum. Unfortunately the forum currently doesn't have sufficient capacity or bandwidth to host directly uploaded photos.
There is a quick guide on how to use the Flickr integration on the forum --->
here
As well as the forum boards there is a really useful Modeller Toolkit available which can help with paint matching, paint thinning, glue types & a scale calculator that can be found --->
here
We're also running a number of group builds & special interest groups through the year so feel free to enter any of those that you like the look of.
Otherwise take a look around and join in, and if you have any questions feel free to ask.
Have fun!
