Tamiya 1/12 Porsche 910

Post by kpisnuts »

Hi all this car used to be in our workshop regularly to prep for races, unfortunately the owner sold it to someone in the USA so we will never see it again :(
Anyway this kit came up on Ebay and I just had to have it (its my fave Porsche of all time) cost me 350 quid plus 78 quid in customs charges
Anyway I decided to do it as the one we used to work on.

I added a 1/24 kit to show the difference in size.

I built both the 1/12 and 1/18 910 kits several years ago, mostly out of box (other than the P.E. 4pt. harness, engine wiring, brake lines, and tire valves).

You will have fun with this one. I see you already fixed the sink marks on the side of the rear bonnet. Are you going to keep it white or paint it another color?

Watching!............
On the table or recently completed:

1/18 AV8-B Harrier - WIP
1/35 Churchill AVRE with SBG Bridge Diorama - DONE
75mm BMW R75 WW2 motorcycle with rider - DONE

More work on this
The supplied fuel lines are way out of scale, I heated them and stretched them to make them thinner.

Great kit. Looking forward to seeing how it turns out. Love these old Tamiya big scale cars.
