Question on when to klear a canopy

As the title suggests, when to klear a canopy?
Do you dip in klear first then apply masks and paint or do you mask, paint then dip in klear?
Does it matter which way round you do it?

I always dip the canopy. Make sure you wick off any excess by touching one corner of the canopy to some kitchen roll. I then leave it to dry for a good couple of days (48hrs) before I go any where near it with masking tape.

To answer your questions...
You should dip your canopy (or any clear plastic piece) in the Clear/Future first, you should let to sit for at least 12 hours to dry, and then to attach them to the model, the mask, etc. It would be rather difficult to dip the clear plastics once attached, masked and painted over when already on the model



Did this last night actually, checked them this morning, looks GREAT!!
It will make it easier to get any paint off if it bleeds through the masking.

Coen suggested to put them in a small container with a lid and some papertowel, the lid prevents dust from settling on the pieces...once the future dries, the dust or dirt will be there forever.
