3D Printed Jack Sparrow

This is a Gambody STL file purchased for $12 in 1/16 scale. BFRD alerted me to a sale, so a great thanks to Matthew
A first figure for me and part of a challenge I made to myself to learn how to 3D resin print figures and items for modelling
Painted with Ultimate primers as a base and then oil paints overtop. Black oil as shading and weathering as well

Yes it is pretty good printed detail
Hardest part is to not break anything off...the sword took a couple CA glue repairs :roll:

Love the detail on this - the painting alone is worthy of a Master Class!!

    I am just kinda fumbling along with it frankly. Trying out different stuff and see what works
    The basic tenant is to get the base colour down in spray and then layer the detail, stain and weathering overtop wiping away most of what you add
    That mindset makes things like leather and wood an absolute breeze

    Stunning work mate.

    The 3D print looks great in itself but the paintwork is absolutely awesome - cracking job!

    Moved half way across the country... from Oklahoma to Florida.
    We had our entire downstairs floors replaced and they messed them up and had to start over - been a real ____show. Finally will be able to set up my room soon though. Thanks for asking, man!!
    I've been lurking a bit - just been busy. Still working for my previous employer and whatnot.
