Thanks digger303 and barryf1fan, your comments are much appreciated. And digger, I really appreciate your remarks throughout the build process, they help motivate me to keep things on point.

Hey Twokidsnosleep, I already have the mat board cut out for the base and the general outlines marked on it. Some of the "stuff" that will be laying about will include more tarps, boxes, ammo cans, oil can, gig bag, sledge hammer, mattox/pick, K-ration box, rope, etc. I am going to try to make some sand bags from milliput, and I cannot forget the dog. I'm sure I will come up with other small stuff along the way.

Stoskey44, thanks for the high level compliment even if I do not feel it is warranted. I see some real master builders in the forum and all I try to do is keep up.

RangerNeil, thank you so much for your assistance on getting the SAS details correct. It is always nice to have an inside expert and you fit the bill perfectly for this build.

I'm currently getting things ready for the base, but also looking ahead for what is next to build. I am currently split between a 1/35 armor (artillery) piece, a large 1/16 (Lancia or NISSAN) or 1/12 (Tamiya F1 or Countach) car, or a very large aircraft (possibly 1/18 Harrier, 1/48 B-1 or C-130, or 1/32 F-14, 15, or 16), and last possibly a 1/300 Tamiya Yamato Battleship with full PE. The choices are killing me.....

You could do a nice 1/35 Soviet D30 Howitzer - and perhaps the Zil 131 or Ural 375 tow vehicle/gun tractor..... 🙂🙂

Very nice. The detail is amazing, turns it into a real jeep. That Yamato would be an extremely challenging build,
