1.Any New Years resolutions for 2022?
Nope. I don't do them.

2.Favourite model build for 2021? Most hated build for 2021?
I guess my Enterprise is my favorite since it's the one that I finished. I wouldn't say I hate my Jagdtiger, but it's time to get it done.

3.Goals for 2022 modelling build plans for 2022?
Finish the Jagdtiger and start the next project.

4.What does the new year hold for you personally?
Remission will never be a word that pertains to me but hopefully things will remain under control.

5.Any Big plans in 2022 for vacation/ travel plans?
Maybe but I think covid will put that on hold.

Open question :
What are you looking forward to in 2022?

I don't have any big plans so we'll just take things a day at a time. Interesting things always end up happening.

1.Any New Years resolutions for 2022?
Survive,build kits and win lotto

2.Favorite model build for 2021? Most hated build for 2021?
M3 Stuart and didn't really have a hated kit.

3.Goals for 2022 modelling build plans for 2022
Strictly short term for modeling, finish the G4,build the forum theme choice and maybe finish a shelf queen. On a personal note make take a step closer to retirement.

4.What does the new year hold for you personally?
On a personal note make take a step closer to retirement....hopefully towards a easy one. Would like to have a larger role around my grandson, but thats a hard one with all the distances involved.

5.Any Big plans in 2022 for vacation/ travel plans?
Not too big, but maybe a trip to Adelaide to join up with the wife's sister and Hubby for a short holiday.

6.What are you looking forward to in 2022?
Another good year on the farm would be really nice, but 2 good years in a row are a bit rare.
Listen and appear wise

1.Any New Years resolutions for 2022?

Nothing comes to mind. Maybe cook more?

2.Favourite model build for 2021? Most hated build for 2021?

For most liked, it's a tie between the Egg-Panther and U-boat. Egg was a lot of fun to paint. The U-boat looks excellent on the wall.

Most hated was the Chaparral. It's my most hated since I started this hobby again.

3.Goals for 2022 modelling? Build plans for 2022?

Participate in all GB's and Sci-Fi builds. Plus do some 1/48 airplanes. Specifically build one F-4 Phantom or F-14 Tomcat. This may also be the year of the Millennium Flacon and I'll finally build my Bandai kit.

Bandai seriously needs to come out with some more Star Wars kits. I've almost worked all the way through their catalog.

4.What does the new year hold for you personally?

Lots of model building I hope!

5.Any Big plans in 2022 for vacation/ travel plans?

We're trying to go to Disney World in the fall. Hopefully COVID will be done, so we can get the full experience. I've never been, so it should be fun.

Open question :
What are you looking forward to in 2022?

Building models and painting minis. I may even learn to play 40k.

1.Any New Years resolutions for 2022?

Never done any and not interested in doing any. If you need the new year to have resolution you don't have self motivation then

2.Favourite model build for 2021? Most hated build for 2021?
I lost track of time a bit for 2021 with the new house and the covid. I'm not sure when I finished it but I think it's 2021 it would be Eduard's Mirage III Cj. Being my first "modern" airplane I was excited but it was by far the worst fit I ever had in a kit. So much filling and sanding ! Thank god my paint scheme came out nice.
As for my favorite, it was my last one, Tamiya's Ki-61 Tony. What an extraordinary kit that fits so well with an usual scheme. I loved doing it with the challenge it was and it came out great to me !

3.Goals for 2022 modelling?Build plans for 2022?
Well my buddy build of the Pfalz with the Digger is one, that I greatly appreciate. The build, with challenges, is going well. My other goal would be to have a cleaner bench, less clustered while I work ! And would love to participate in one of the GB while doing other stuff... as I think my WnW will take a long time to build. But I have a lot of time at hand this winter. Not much to do on the job side, but still a lot of painting to be done in the new house (2 bathrooms, 2 staircases, and a hallway (not sure I'm using the correct word here))

4.What does the new year hold for you personally?
Not much ! With the covid, we had already downsize the group we were supposed to be. Usually we have a really big and fun party with friends and lots of good foods. We had reduced to one couple of friends. And yesterday all that when down the drain with the new restrictions with covid. So it will be only the kids and us. So we'll try to do something special with dinner... and watch ( a tradition here where I'm from) 2 tv shows that make fun of the past year in a retrospective.

5.Any Big plans in 2022 for vacation/ travel plans?
We had a few when Covid hit... France for 3 weeks, NY city for 4 days with the kids, and Vegas for a week... has how it's going right now I won't travel until it eases up. Too many cases in the US and in France for my taste.

Open question :
What are you looking forward to in 2022?
let's hope the end of covid ! or seeing the end of it !

Happy new year to everyone !! :cheers2: :cheers2:
Francis

1.Any New Years resolutions for 2022?
Not really - never kept any before and its a bit late to start now!

2.Favourite model build for 2021? Most hated build for 2021?
Favourite - probably the Zvezda T34.

Hated - the Airfix Gazelle. Nothing fitted right and the canopy reacted to the damn masking tape.

3.Goals for 2022 modelling?Build plans for 2022?
Goals - to get back building after the great upheaval.

Plans - to make a start on the 1/72 Lancaster diorama as a tribute to my uncle.

4.What does the new year hold for you personally?
Gawd knows - all I can say is come October I get my State pension so I can review whether or not I need to work anymore.

5.Any Big plans in 2022 for vacation/ travel plans?
No - might have a week in a dog friendly location in the UK and resume cruising in 2023.

Open question :
What are you looking forward to in 2022?

Hopefully sanity to return and life to go on treating COVID like the Flu - no more bans, lockdowns, mask wearing etc.

1.Any New Years resolutions for 2022?
Not in general; modelling-wise I want to try & keep it simple and try to keep a tidier bench.

2.Favourite model build for 2021? Most hated build for 2021?
I only managed two completed builds for 2021 which is slow even by my standards. I didn't hate either of them but I guess the Humber armoured car in the desert dio was my favourite of the two.

    3.Goals for 2022 modelling?Build plans for 2022?
As mentioned above, try and keep it simple (although I love building dios) and enter more of the GBs this year. I have kits for all of them so hopefully I can get more done.

4.What does the new year hold for you personally?
More of the same to be honest until we get this bug under control; I really hope we can get back to air shows and other similar activities.

5.Any Big plans in 2022 for vacation/ travel plans?
My wife's folks live out on Crete and we obviously haven't been able to see them for a couple of years (the thought of being stuck on an airliner in a mask for the duration of the flight really doesn't appeal) but we're tentatively hoping to get over there for Mrs TC's birthday in May. And we'd like to get back to Iceland again as well although we don't have anything even tentatively planned for that one as yet.

    Open question :
What are you looking forward to in 2022?

Just getting back to some degree of normality and being able to treat Covid in the same way that we handle flu, although I think we've got a ways to go yet.

Happy New Year to all of you on the forum - thanks for being there in 2021, and looking forward to more of the same in 2022 :cheers2:
    Cheers, Neil

1.Any New Years resolutions for 2022?

Nah, not my thing to be honest

2.Favourite model build for 2021? Most hated build for 2021?

The Trumpy Panzer IV because it was a massive challenge. No hated builds

3.Goals for 2022 modelling? Build plans for 2022?

More bench time and better involvement with the SIGs on the forum

4.What does the new year hold for you personally?

I think a chance to consolidate the mental health gains I have made in the last 3 years. AND A DECENT HOLIDAY

5.Any Big plans in 2022 for vacation/ travel plans?

See the above. Somewhere hot with a beautiful beach and beer on tap.

    Open question :
What are you looking forward to in 2022?

Better time with friends once the damn virus is dealt with. To be bold and to take opportunities when they come my way. I hope all you fine people have a good 2022 and I look forward to messing with you on the forum :th:

1.Any New Years resolutions for 2022?
I do a list personally, professionally and for hobby
It is a guideline and not hard edged resolutions, rather ebbs and goes with the flow through the year
This year the hobby one includes learning 3D computer design and metal lathe machining study/acquisition
Last year I had 3D printing on my list; I got some modelling goals ticked off with 3D printing :thumb1:

2.Favourite model build for 2021? Most hated build for 2021?
I really enjoyed the Herbie Luv Bug and desert scene plus the Baja motorcycle re-do from my childhood
Printing out Jack Sparrow and then painting him up was cool too
The Daffy Duck figure was a bit on the meh side, but I don’t hate anything I build or I would stop

    3.Goals for 2022 modelling?Build plans for 2022?
I want to re-organize my Nerd Lab and clean her up…too many kits and stuff everywhere. I began making drawer inserts
Some tools to be added and some skills to be learned this year
Honestly will curtail the model kit purchases especially if this big 1/32 Lancaster comes on line for sale
Maybe even sell a few off from the stash…been chicken to do so

4.What does the new year hold for you personally?
Hopefully a bit of a realignment of my work attitude….been hating it, bad attitude with Covid
Better fitness always seems to crop up, mostly stretching this year…I have a gym downstairs🙄

5.Any Big plans in 2022 for vacation/ travel plans?
Very minimal travel. Some local things for relatives, maybe a Hawaii for CE credits that have been lagging. Not want to travel until other places have their S together and recovered from Covid. Plus we have a new dog that is not ready to travel nor be left.
    Open question :
What are you looking forward to in 2022?

Moving on from pandemic into a boring endemic situation
Return of things to as near normal and reduced conspiracy theory bs in news
Focus on my own stuff and get deep into what I do so I enjoy it all

The good - or bad :) - news for your plans is the 1/32 Lanc should be with us in a couple of months. Its available to pre-order from most major suppliers - i.e. Ammo Mig, eModel etc. Not so good news is Border Models said the first run is a limited number and I am hearing on the grapevine tbey are getting close to that number already. There is no date for a second run yet. We can hope that the way this run has sold will trigger the second soon but its not guaranteed.
