I had some free time yesterday and didn't feel like finishing up the Egg Build. So I pulled a new kit off the shelf. And by new, I mean, nearly 40 years old. Also, tiny, like really small. At least it is a low part count.

The build is fairly simple, but there is no really good way to mask it up for the painting. So, I just said, screw it, and painted the whole thing red. There are no really good views of the plane, so I am unsure if some of the offsets in the parts were supposed to be there. It looks like there could be an offset from the cowl to the fuselage. I sanded it down anyway. I removed most of the seams around the front of the plane.



I did get the decals on for the most part. 40-year-old decals are not fun to work with. They did not release from the paper, I had to peel them off. I don't know if I got more than a couple off in one piece. I didn't check to see how they looked this morning. I'll post another picture when I get home. I don't think this one is going to be a showcase model.

Unfortunately, the decals didn't improve with age. Some have silvered, and some have bits of the backing paper stuck to them. I had to let them sit so long that the paper disintegrated underneath them.





I'll probably still give it a few coats of Aquagloss, but this one will probably get stuck in the back of the case or in the bottom of the bin.
