Tamiya 1/24 Ferrari F40 Competizione

Post by MrBowcat »

Hi guys,

Got this one finished over the weekend. Pig of a kit that just didn't fit together at the end. Not happy with it.

Looks excellent to me. Admittedly I'm not into cars but I can see nothing wrong with the finished item. Well done! :)

I can't see the fitment issues - you must've man handled them into submission... I do see a beautiful F40!! Excellent!

    Thanks Barry. :)

It's really only noticeable on the rear engine cover, it just doesn't sit right.

Very nicely done Mr B, looks great. I would just display it with the engine cover up!

Well, again, I can't see any issues. Looks to be a great display car and the livery pops on there (sounds like an HGTV saying, sorry. :D )
And the glass issue you described I've had on every Revell kit I've done. End up just separating the glass into the individual sections and glue in.

Love the engine detail, btw!! Looks great! Well done, sir!

[to me, sometimes the more challenging kit is most satisfying - even if it doesn't come out as "planned"] :thumb2:

My road version (same kit I think) had the same issues, it's the most well known problem with the kit, Tamiya dropped the ball for once :wall:

I used masking tape to stick down my engine cover just for photos, and now it's displayed with the engine cover up.

Yours turned out great despite the issues, bravo
