With a few gaps.
I think I mentioned it before, but a lot of this was already assembled, engines, wings, fuselage was closed up. He left a few parts out cause they are mostly unseen. So the resin engines, auto cannon assembly, some cockpit parts including pre painting of just weren't done. The auto cannon was a funny one because you have to install that before closing up the fuselage and he must have forgotten. I had to chop the barrels off and insert them like that. If closing up the canopies they don't meet properly and there's a damn great seam line running down the middle. Instructions are a bit vague and don't show positioning of parts well.
The flaps move so that they can be positioned as you want big tick for that.
Overall I would just say it's a average kit. If your going to do a dio with mech's the inclusion of resin engines and open covers would put it further up the list of choices.

Ahh ok - sorry I'd missed that you'd picked this one up part-assembled.

Yes. A Perth modeller died and his wife wanted to give his kits away and get them finished so I ended up with the A10 on the insistence of a friend. So it's what I call a legacy build. She wants them finished and as they are finished to be posted on the Perth modellers FB page as tribute to her fella.
I'm obligated to see it finished.

Looks good Digger. Having built the Tamiya version I feel your pain with the ordnance, this kite carries a LOT.

Thanks kindly people.
I ran out of paint and only managed to get the top side mostly done. Needs a little more to even it out.

Resupply expected Tuesday

That's coming along really nicely mate - I'd missed (or forgotten) the bit about building for the Perth modeller - that's a really great tribute

Thanks guys it's been a long time since I worked on this. I just pulled it out again and have done the camo and I'm just about to begin decaling.
and I had actually done the ordinance before, but here it is now.

I still have to do a little to these as well, lenses and missile noses mostly. Not much.
There are one or two spots I missed with the paint and I'm going to fix that after the decals.

Ok calling time.
The paint's a bit rough and there is some silvering due to my general laziness and thinking I could just scoot through.
Loaded for bear
I'm glad this is done and on the shelf
Cheers Guys

Way to stick with this one and see it through. I like the color scheme you chose. I have this kit in my stash and honestly don't know when I will get to it. Not exactly a lot od decals is there?

Glad you liked it. I got some feed back from the guys widow. She was pretty happy too. Of the thirty odd kits given away I think I was the only one to follow through.
No I thought there was a lot more decals, but my memory played tricks with me. It must be either the Harrier or the Vigen I have that has the huge sheet.
