Models at Wally World?!

So I was taking a stroll through the local Walmart tonight, well local as it can be when you live in the middle of nowhere and I seen this in an aisle



I've never seen model kits at a Walmart before, or maybe I'm just not every observant

Have any of you all ever seen them there before? Just curious if this a new thing or if it's just new to my area of the world (Midwestern US)

Shame they didn't have anything armor or militaristic in nature. The heavy equipment was quite cool though.

Those are all brands owned by Round2. They also own Johnny Lightning and some other diecast car brands. They only do car and truck models and some Star Trek and Star Wars kits. Most of their stuff has been upgraded re-issues of older kits, but over the last 2 or 3 years, they've come out with some new tooling. I, too, live in the middle of nowhere. I'll have to check my local store to see if they're selling kits here.

Oh very cool to know, I've never been heavy into civilian vehicles or scifi so I had no idea they were all owned by the same company
