I'm sorry guys I started building this took the pic's and completely forgot to post them....



It builds up fairly well and most parts fit. As usual instructions easily confuse me as a close inspection of the running boards
will testify to. I thought it was a bit strange when I did it, but I trundled on getting a good solid glued edge....

There are these wheels and hubs which I'm sure it's a kit problem in that the wheel hubs don't mate to a flat surface so it's tricky to get them to central. Looking at it now I perhaps should have reduced the outer hub height so the inner section sat higher. Bit late once I had the inner part glued in....

Rolls Royce Armoured Cars were first built during the First World War, when wealthy gentlemen took their family cars with them to the front. Soon they had equipped their vehicles with weapons and armour, and proved their worth as fighting cars. The Admiralty approved a request for purpose-built vehicles.

Although they weren’t suitable for use on the Western Front, once trench warfare began, the Army sent them to fight in the Middle East where they proved very successful. After the First World War, a new generation called the Rolls Royce 1920 Pattern were built and The Tank Museum’s Rolls Royce was one of them. The Museum’s Vehicle, saw action in Ireland, Shanghai and Egypt, before coming back to England to patrol the Norfolk coast during the Second World War.

The Rolls Royce Armoured Car, which has been used to transport H.M. The Queen, was built in 1920 and is driven regularly to this day. It was armoured at Woolwich Arsenal, London, in October 1920 and handed to the War Office in November.

Oh I haven't updated this for a while...

So the tyres are on, added the hamper basket and brass drum which I'm happiest about in this whole kit. How strange am I......ok I'll sit back and wait for it....
Looking too shiny atm , but that's the gloss. There's some weathering to come, nothing to extreme just a few shadow effects with a pin wash.

So far, so good.... I didn't know that British Racing Green was a tactical military color?

I made these head light lenses from clear gorilla glue. Unfortunately I didn't notice a couple of air bubbles in them, but the glue dries crystal clear.



Finally showing my drum....



The more alert will have noticed the MG is still missing. I broke it off at some point and I put it aside somewhere safe I thought and yet it still eludes me after a week of searching.

Oh very cool - I didn't know this kit existed...

I've seen the Bovington example a couple of times over the years - it is very VERY green!

I should have painted the wheel nuts a brass colour. Running lights are positioned differently on my kit too. Something I missed....damn.
