I fancy it too, its British (kind of) but I love the open turret with all the detail. It may be a while though as I have a plethora of 1/16 kits, including Andy's Sherman and a certain little kittycat....

If they ever bring out a 1/16 Churchill Crocodile then forget the "Want" factor - I'll be first in the queue holding out the hard earned readies!!!
I do wish at that scale, though, they would either include a full interior or offer one or more as an option. I watched the release video of the M10/Achilles and, whilst the space inside the "turret" was well detailed I couldn't help noticing at the right angle it was obvious the front was an empty void. Same goes for the engine bay. Lovely opening hatches - void underneath. I bet if they were to offer internals they would sell as well as the kits.

Good points mate.
I think they're aiming for a niche market where you can build at 1/16 but not pay Trumpeter prices of £250+ for a full interior kit. I think its only a matter of time before you can find a resin driver's compartment or an engine bay for these kits. The figure market has certainly taken off, I hope the interior after market stuff does too.

I suspect the resin drop in will double the kit price in the blink of a eye.
Is it possible to get 3d files for the same subject and just dial them up to 1/16 ?

I seem to remember when Andy was involved in the Das Werk StuG he mentioned in one of his videos that the aim was to produce a decent, not overly complex kit at an affordable price - and he's carried this mantra over to his own branded kits.
I'm sure that internals after-market kits will start showing up for these in fairly short order - like Stokesy mentioned the figure market has really taken off.
I'm still not sure about 1/16 for me as I've really struggled to keep the StuG going for a variety of reasons, but I'd be very tempted if a Churchill was to roll off the production line...

I recently pre-ordered the 1/16 Sd.Kfz. 251/ 1 Ausf D German WW2 halftrack. If you haven't seen it you need to check it out as the details are fantastic.
Can't wait for the figures and detail kits for it.

Absolutely in the same boat as you except I have not pre-ordered it. I definitely have it on the list and like you, I want to see what's out there to go with it.

Like the 1/16 Sd.Kfz. 251/ 1 Ausf D German WW2 halftrack that arrived a few months ago, I pre-ordered this one too. I think the figures I started for my Sherman would go well with this kit.
You know, a 1/16 Churchill would be great too. Some soft skinned stuff would be nice too, such as a land rover (variants), Dodge power wagon command car, etc. I would even like some more modern stuff like an M48, M60, Challenger, Leopard, Mercava, etc.

I'll admit to being a little underwhelmed by Andy's latest couple of releases as the subject matter didn't really appeal, but I'm sure there will be plenty of takers as the quality looks great.
I was really tempted by the Das Werk Sd.Kfz. 251 mentioned by Ben but held off on this one... if they bring out a Wurfrahmen 40 version though my wallet will be in all sorts of trouble.
Similarly a Churchill, Matilda or M24 would all have the wallet scampering for cover and I'm still keeping an eye out for the promised DW Puma

Oh, very nice indeed!!
Still holding out for a Churchill Crocodile though. With its fuel trailer!
Sadly you may have a long wait my friend. Unless you're Herman the German or Frank the Yank, you're not well served yet in 1/16.
Sadly I fear you are correct there - although as Digger says I'd be happy with a 1/35 one (much more chance of that!)

Gecko has a Pak 40 artillery piece and a Universal carrier on the way. If hats not enough then Daswerk has a German half-track with a PAK 40 on the back as well. All in 1/16.
So much to choose from.

Check Hannants, Trumpy have got a ton of new stuff coming, nearly all of it bearing the crooked cross though. Get in quick before Fritz and Ludwig put their towels down on the sunbeds and take the lot!

Already got the DasWerk halftrack, but I will definitely be interested in the PAK 40 to go behind it. If I remember correctly, there was one made in 1/18 some years ago by 21st Century Toys which was already built. Hope the model kit version is under $100 USD when it arrives.
You and Tomcat will be fighting each other for the first one out the factory!

Yep, saw that on a new video from Andy's HHQ along with another new release, a PAK 40 anti-tank gun, also from Gecko.

Looks like Andy's HHQ is going to announce a 1/16 something soon that "it is not WW2."
The guys at On The Bench seem to think it's a M113. What are ya'lls guesses?
I'm personally thinking it might be M41 Walker Bulldog. Though a Bradley Fighting Vehicle would be very cool as well.

It would be nice to see something that's neither American or German - which limits it given the "its not WW2" bit. Maybe a Centurion? That would be nice.
Although, thinking about it, "its not WW2" doesn't necessarily mean post WW2, could mean prewar or WW1....

It's Nuremberg toy fair this week and both Andy and Das Werk have announced more 1/16 projects for 2025
Andy has overview vids of all four announced kits
AHHQ 1/16 M3/M3A1 US Halftrack
Das Werk 1/16 7.5cm PAK 40 (no crew at this point but scuttlebutt says they're in the works)
Das Werk 1/16 Leopard 2A7V MBT
And for the Aircraft enthusiasts Das Werk 1/32 Messerschmitt P.1101
The M3 looks really nice but I think I can control my impulse to order one... if he brings out the Meat Chopper M16 version though it might be a different story.
The others I'm happy to bypass although the PAK40 might be tempting with a crew; it's basically the same gun as they had on their 1/16 StuG and half-track (and the Takom Pz 1) but with a carriage added so they're making good use of those moulds.

Some nice subjects there. None are saying "buy me" to me though.
If anyone ever comes up with a 1/16 Churchill Crocodile, Comet, Centurion, Firefly or 25pdr, Quad & Limber - that would be a different story!

British subjects are poorly served in 1/16. We have the Gecko Universal Carrier but the only other one I can think of is the Andy's HHQ Achilles which is only half British if we're honest.
Like you I would love to see a full up British tank. It would definitely be case of 'shut up and take my money'.

The Leopard looks an absolute monster!
Here's a few more Andy has just reviewed
Classy Hobby 1/16 M8 75MM Howitzer Motor Carriage
Gecko models 1/16 universal carrier - YES, an actual British subject!!!!

Sadly, the Gecko kit is the only real British offering in 1/16.
Other than that there's the Achilles tank destroyer from Andy's HHQ but that's really a US hull with a British Gun. More a trans-Atlantic hybrid than a true Brit!
