"WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN WORKING ON THIS WEEK?" - A NEW SEGMENT OF FRIDAY NIGHT'S ISM LIVE "AT THE BENCH" SHOW!

* Open now until 1 hour before the show on Friday, 1st September*

** PLEASE read ALL of the rules below carefully! **

Hello everyone! This post is being created to give you, as a member of ISM, the opportunity to share what you have been working on during the week on the Friday night show. Please read the rules below in order to participate.

01). By participating in this thread, you are giving permission for the ISM live crew to share your work during the Youtube broadcast of the ISM Live "At the Bench" Friday show.

02). Please, only post your own work and not that of others.

03). Remember, post only one image per subject each week. This will prevent prolific builders from dominating this segment and will prevent this part of the show from becoming too long.

04). You can post 2 works in progress builds per member each week. Again, this prevents prolific builders from dominating this segment and making this segment longer than it needs to be.

This is an opportunity for you as members to be directly involved with the show. We hope that you will participate no matter your level of experience. This will not be a critique of anyone's work.

The winner will have their model displayed on the Paul@ism live stream header

We thank you in advance for allowing us the opportunity to showcase your models!
Paul and the live crew

Still working on the Trumpeter 1/48 SM-79 "Sparviero". Fuselage is all closed up now with canopy and upper fuselage section in place. Unfortunately this bit lets the kit down as they aren't the best of fits so more filling will be needed. Once this is sorted it will time to tackle the dreaded (by me) cammo overlays.....

As the SM-79 is now moving into the finishing stage I made a start on my entry for the "Whirlybirds" group build.
Couldn't decide what to build so put it out to the vote - winner was the 1/72 Amodel release of the Mil Mi-V-12.
Won't be doing that again without checking box contents first - this thing is BIG!!!
Main fuselage and wing are so big they are resin moulds. All the sprues are in resealable bags with between 4 to 6 sprues per bag. I did a quick part count and the average sprue bag for this one kit contains more parts than the average level 2 Airfix kit.....
I took the liberty of using 2 photos - first is of a 1/72 Jeep sat on top of the 1/72 main fuselage of the Mi-V-12 - just to give an idea of size.
So far the work completed is the assembly of one of the two flight decks - the upper on that has the navigator and radio operator. - this is the second photo. The lower deck is where the pilots and flight engineer reside.

1/24 MPC 4-4-0 Civil War Steam Locomotive

Working being done with my special needs son (Jarrod). He's no so keen on filing, sanding and such, but he loves painting with the rattle can and airbrush as well as cementing parts together. The kit is over 40 years old, so the mold quality (flash, sink holes, ejection pin marks, details, etc.) are lacking, but the subject is different enough to keep our interests.

So far we've completed the display base less the name plate:

I am currently working on a Huey, but not far along. However, I did finish this 1/48 Hasegawa F-14D Idol Master Boxing. I wont go on about how awful the decals were and how unimpressed I am with the kit in general. It was the first time I built their 48 F-14. Will be the last unless they have some other interesting markings out there. With a LOT of Solvaset and patience, it turned out OK.

Russian 1/16 Commander by Tamiya.
Not being a figure painter I still have a lot to do and I'm still figuring it out. This is my first large scale attempt.
