This kit is on my list of models to acquire soon. Looking forward to the build up. Any ideas on which version you'll be building?

I made this kit two years ago, its simply superb. The tracks are one of the easiest to assemble i have ever seen, all in all a stunning kit you will like it. I´m looking forward to see how this goes on.

Here's the start of the build.
Suspension arms, front and rear hull parts, drive sprockets and idlers added to the main hull.
Thanks all for your comments.

That suspension is a complete change from the D1 that I'm building. Totally different animal haha.
That front sprocket only has an outside disk? Not two disks together? Wow compley different, fascinating.
Looking good Pete

I jump around on the build order quite a bit.
Mostly because building lots of wheels isn't the best way to start a kit in my view. I like to start with the big parts first to get me interested.
Upper Hull - the instructions suggest a number of holes need to be drilled out, these are marked out on the underside of the hull.Pretty straight forward to do.
The gun assembly - some nice detail on these parts, especially the MG34
Turret assembled. One of the differences between the Ausf A/B and C/D are the vision ports, I've opted to build an A/B.
Note the weld beads on the turret edges, nice touch.
I'll probably be using the kit supplied figure.

Nice progress, you've already done the base coat!

Those tracks look much better than the ones on 'our' Tamiya Ausf. F

Looks awesome already

I like this kit a lot, its small, fast to build and has nice detail.
I like the subtle shading you applied in particular, the surface looks very realistic this way.

It's very cool to see the differences between the 1/35 and 1/48.
Looking good! If my LHS had the 1:35, I might have picked that instead.
Can't wait to see the finished product, Dio?

Very nice job so far. Would love to get this one for Christmas if i can creep to SWMBO

but as i've said elsewhere i'm banned from any new models until i've built some.

Coming along rather well. I don't know what I would do with myself working on this model. I am so used to working with flash, gaps, and misalignments

Maybe a vacation?
Russell.

I know what's that's like, I collected kits and didn't build much for years. These SIGs and Group Builds certainly help by providing the motivation to see the models through to completion.

I tried an older Zvesda kit recently so I know the pain too.

A quick update following the painting of the tracks and running gear.
I've also abandoned the black background and now the photos show the correct colour.

i really like your work, with some really nice touches such as the rust on each of the leaf springs, and just how neat everything is.... i would be really pleased if mine look like this.
