A French tank that the Germans approved of once France was defeated.
My apologies for the seeming quick build and no previous posts. I actually partially started this sometime ago and put it away as I
was only building it when I was travelling and staying overnight away from home. So the hull minus the wheels was completed and a bit of clean up of some parts. When I pulled it out again it didn't take more than 4 sessions to get it to this point and during that time my head couldn't get into top gear with this damn flu. However tonight I feel able to catch up.
Lower hull completed
Upper hull completed
and as the hull was all made of cast metal I added some more texture to the kit via stifling on Mr surfacer 500. This also extended to the
turret as well.
The tracks are the click together type, but being that small it does the fingers no good at all. Also some of the pins can be damaged and the holes too as the wall is thin and can crack away.

Cool technique on the surface texture. I'll have to file that one away.

Not one I pioneered, but I thought I'd give it a try. Decals have me worried though with trying to get them down flat.

Thank you. Certainly knocked a few more out of the stash than I normally do.
Cheers guys

I always enjoy looking into your various builds as they are often not the "norm". This one looks to be coming along well. I agree that is some good stippling to show the texture. How's the figure looking?

Thanks and glad to have you taking a look. I like to build the things that are different, but I do have a lot of the usual subjects in the stash too that I want to build. I avoid building the same types and getting bored I like to jump around a bit amongst genre's and sub groups.
The figure isn't my favourite build so I kinda let it slip by at times. I will have another go shortly. I've mostly fixed the fingers, but have yet to paint them.
2 camo colours on and hopefully the third tomorrow

Thank you.
Applying a wash and clean up became harder though.
I have a little more to do before it goes on the self, but not too much

All done.
I hope this tickles someones fancy.
Loads of dust,no mud and forgot to give the tracks a quick polish.
That blue really stands out, but that's what the call out called for. Engine really needs a bit of maintenance too.
The crew didn't like the name plate being painted over so they have been giving it a polish.
Quite happy the way the cast texture presented itself. When I did that the first pass was very spiky so I gave it a very light sand then sprayed the finer grade 1000 Mr surfacer over that to round out the pits and peaks.
Also very happy with the way the decals went down over that rough texture. A little tip.. micro sol and set didn't get a look in.
Thank you all for following along.

digger303-You did a really nice job on this tank. The textering technique looks great and does appear like a rough cast iron finish. I also like the very colorful scheme. Congratulations!
