F4u weapons load help please

Post by Bbdave »

I am looking to build the tamiya 1/48 f4u but would like to load it with rockets and 500lb bomb where can I find rails rockets and bomb as the kit doesn't seem to come with them looking at sprue pictures but I will stand corrected.

Hey Dave, try Hannants the online retailer. Their search function lists after market products specific to any kit you search for.

Or Scalemates.

Or various versions of Google searches - try 1/48 F4U bomb racks or 1/48 F4U rockets etc.

Good hunting
Its been tried and tested, it works! So don't blame the system if you're no good.

I know the 1/48 Revell F4U-4 kit has both the bombs and rockets. You can find it sometimes on Ebay for less than $15.00. I also have seen Minicraft, Hasegawa, or Academy kits have them too. Perhaps you need to get one of those to part out for your Tamiya?

I even saw a F4U-1D version by Tamiya with the rockets and bombs.

Happy Hunting....

Thank you I'll take a look I'm not very knowledgeable about such things.
