1:48 Eduard Spitfire Mk.V “tri-colour camo”

Here’s my effort at building on of the options from Eduard’s Limited addition dual combo “Per Aspera ad Astra”.

The kit gives you the option of 12 schemes, for the first build I decided on an unusual tri-camo scheme flown by Lt John Anderson in Tunisia 1944.

I wanted to display her “in flight” so i added a pilot figure, I think from an Airfix Hurricane?, and made a base using 12mm plywood and a Model Scene scenic mat with some clear acrylic rod to try and give the appearance of “flight”.

Paints were mainly MRP, Tamiya LP11 and with vallejo used for some of the detail painting.
Weathering was achieved with 502 Abteilung oils.
