Emhar 1/24 Bedford osb recovery truck

Post by alphabrimble »

Hi,
For my next model I have decided to do this Bedford recovery truck.
Image

After priming the model it onto the first steps. The chassis and engine are all in gloss black so the first thing I did was build all this up so that it ready to be painted.

Now that’s done I have to leave it all to dry before airbrushing

Thanks

Over the last few days I have been going through the model a bit at a time.
The first thing I did was spray up the parts I made last time and I fitted the exhaust.

Then I made up the wheels and painted them red and fitted them to the chassis.

I then built up the cab ready to be painted cream.

I also built up the interior which is black as well as the front grill

I also painted the toolbox for the rear recovery section

Then I made the recovery boom up. This was a bit of a nightmare as there was quite a lot of pin type parts that had to be pushed trough which unfortunately broke so I had to just bodge it together with glue so it is at a slight slant. I then painted it red.

I then painted the seats tan and fitted them to the interior

Then after spraying the cab and recovery body cream i added the transfers. This was also trouble as the transfer that were included in the kit disintegrated as soon as they hit the water. Luckily i always take scan of the transfer sheet so I had a copy ready to print off.

I then built up the rear recovery body and attached it to the chassis

Then I added the front cab and parts
