Ruler

Post by digger303 »

I spotted this today and thought for those doing diorama’s or scratch building this might be useful. It's a bit pricey atm at 32 bucks, but I'm going to keep it in mind for sale day.

It’s like a mat board cutting set up but without the bevel.

Had to google that for a pic, but it is different in that the cutter is locked into a slide so it's not possible for the blade to wander as long as the ruler doesn't move.

32 dollars for a rule ?

Alternatives.

Maun Metal Rule. A specially shaped safety rule for artwork cutting use.

Engineers Steel Rule. Six inch or twelve inch. Flat rule with engraved divisions.

Note. Plastic or wooden rules are not suitable to use as a guide for any cutting blade !

I have never heard of a Maun Metal Rule, they look so simple and effective. Thanks for throwing this piece of info out there! :th:

Yes I agree it's too much for this ruler, but the ruler itself seems to be a improvement having the blade attached to the ruler.
I'll wait to see if the price comes down as I suspect it will. All new products from here start high and then reduce.

Careful my colonial friends. We're not averse to sending over a frigate or two (we've only got two now) and pooping off a few rounds to keep the locals in line. :hand:

Hmm. It's a bit sad really making the late queen the butt of a joke on this forum.

Having met her and the late Duke they were both very charming and the duke I found had a wry sense of humour. One of the queen's body guards was on a walk with her and related a very funny story about an American tourist and his wife who happened to come across himself and the queen whilst walking near Balmoral. The tourist didn't recognise the queen thinking that she and her bodyguard were just two other walkers and asked her to take a photograph of him and his wife and the queen duly obliged. The tourist also took a picture of the 'nice couple' they talked to on their walk. After they had walked on a bit the queen said to her bodyguard 'I would love to be a fly on the wall when their family looks at their holiday pictures!'
